Codafy 1.0 RapidWeaver Plugin     Add to Cart (Free!)

There comes a time when RapidWeaver users want to do more with the themes they have, tweaking them for certain projects and customizing the finer details to give a unique feel to their websites.

To date, one of the most popular tools to help users do this was the free Firebug plugin for Firefox, which made it tremendously easy to understand the underlying code so that css customizations were easier to figure out.

But that involves previewing your site in Firefox, and then constantly switching between Firefox and RapidWeaver.

What. A. Hassle.

Introducing Codafy - a FREE RapidWeaver plugin that adds the same "Firebug" functionality to RapidWeaver 4 - with no need to preview your site in a different browser, or switch between applications!

Because Codafy enables some free and open-source tools for use in RapidWeaver, we've made Codafy itself free - even though it's taken a lot of time and work to develop. So, if you haven't already, click the "Add to Cart" button and get your free copy of Codafy now.

System Requirements:

  • Mac OS X 10.5+
  • RapidWeaver 4.1+
(4.2+ to use the WebKit Web Inspector)

Common Questions

How do I use the WebKit Web Inspector?

Once you've added a Codafy page and enabled the checkbox next to the WebKit Web Inspector option, preview the page in RapidWeaver. Then, right-click anywhere on the page (or on the specific section you want to know more about), and select "Inspect Element" from the menu that appears. Once you've enabled this option you can open the WebKit Web Inspector on any page in your site, and in other RapidWeaver projects as well, without needing to add another Codafy page!

How do I use the XRAY Inspector?

Directions on how to use the XRAY Inspector are explained in the XRAY Inspector tab in Codafy. One thing to keep in mind is that after clicking on the XRAY button to activate the Inspector, it may take a few seconds for the Inspector to load. Please also keep in mind, you need an active internet connection in order to use the XRAY Inspector.

What is the Page Content tab for?

This tab is for any content you may want to add to your Codafy page. You don't actually need to add any content at all - you can uncheck the "Show in menu" and "Enabled" boxes in the Page Inspector for the Codafy page and still use all its functions, both on that Codafy page, and other pages in your site. The Page Content tab is just there for your convenience.
